Born in 1976 and with a career extending over 20 years, Jason White (Jug Colangelo) has passionately immersed himself in music and considers it to be a continual driving force, vital to his existence. This saving grace as he would put it, found him at the age of sixteen. Although late for most, he quickly developed his craft which soon after, enabled him to begin performing with several local groups.  It was during this time that he co-founded a band called, "Planet O". Immediate success followed, and the group gained many supporters all through Colorado. While touring throughout the state, and eventually the west coast, Jug gained much notoriety for his searing leads and tasteful blues driven style. With respect to his vocal method, it can be described as exhibiting a raspy, rock-like tone, while demonstrating an expressive and deft approach.

Over the years Jug has opened for such acts which include Leon Russell, The Meditations, David Lindley, Tea Leaf Green, Sister Carol, Edgar Winter, Randy McAllister, Elephant Revival, and has performed with The Mighty Diamonds and Rankin Scroo for their nationwide tours. Although “Planet O" is still currently together, Jug has found the time to assist in cultivating several other projects. Today, he finds himself performing with multiple bands including the latest group called, “Soul Tones”. If asked what his future looks like, he’ll tell you that the skies are the limit and to stay tuned for more good music, because the best is yet to come.

Tapping: the Emotional Freedom Technique

An Evening of Introduction to the art of Tapping: the Emotional Freedom Technique. come experience this amazing way to 'tap" right into how your thoughts and feelings are creating reality. based on the supposition that our thoughts and feelings can reside within our bodies, the Emotional Freedom Technique allows the clearing of unwanted and unconscious beliefs, and belief patterns, by tapping on specific points on the subtle pathways in the body called meridians. These are the same pathways used by needles in acupuncture or fingers in acupressure. It is easy to use and has tremendous instantaneous effects.

In this introudction, you will be given a 30 page booklet that shares the history of EFT/Tapping, some of the science behind it, and the directions for the technique. During the evening, you will be given ample time to practice on yourself, as well as help another person. there will also be plenty of opprtunity to ask questions, and share your experiences, so we all learn from each other.

The class is lead and taught by Jiwan Shakti, a professional Educator, Healer and Artist. Not only does she have a gift of a healing soul, she is a well seasoned Experiential Educator. Her greatest passion is to teach people how to heal themselves and the ones in their lives. It is a pleasure to serve in this way.

The Secret Gong Orchestra brings 100 gongs to Taos @the HFL

The Land of Enchantment is about to be Energized with the Gong collections of Al Faaet, Kenneth Goff, Mitch Nur, and Jeff Sussmann. Bringing together over 150 years of musical experience, and an impressive collection of Gongs from all over the world, this performance will open the dimensions of Gong play far beyond your usual 'gong bath' or similar presentation. Don't confuse this with the expected display of crashing and bashing you see today; but the formal presentation of ambient textures and nuances carefully expressed through an inter-dimensional tonal soundscape.

This unique performance is bringing together Gong artist's from both the East and West Coasts, merging with Santa Fe's more prolific live musicians. This is a layout event, so bring something comfortable to lay on, blanket or pillow as necessary, we will have mats out as well.

An Evening of Cultivating Kindness with Tara Basu

Becoming our best selves takes practice.  Our good intentions to change for the better are often forgotten in the shuffle of daily activities and lost among ingrained patterns.  If we truly want to grow, we must take time to focus on what we would like to cultivate and see grow within ourselves.

Being kind is one of the simplest and most effective ways to dramatically transform yourself and impact those around you in a positive way.  It is a universal concept and fundamental to all spiritual work.  This interactive workshop is an opportunity to reflect on the theme of kindness, become aware of how you apply it, and to learn new tools to improve your skills.  The program will include lecture, discussion, group activities, and group meditations.

Indigenous Soul: Blinded Movement Journey with Dominique Warfield

Indigenous Soul is a blindfolded movement journey that allows one to access a trance state of being- inviting you to explore the relationship between movement and sound without sight. As we enter the fertile darkness, like we enter the womb of our mother, the invitation is to return fully into yourself and receive the medicine from your genuine expression.

We all come from the EARTH: the elements, our bodies, our DNA is of this planet. May this be an embodied exploration which allows you to access what is native to your being and feel into the rich tapestry that our ancestors have laid before us.

Be the soft animal that trembles.

Be the stillness.

Be the song.

Be the one that beckons towards the beloved; inviting you to return home.
