Reclaim Your Sacred Sexual Power w/ Rachel Halder

Sunday August 13th, 7-9pm

Workshop description: This workshop examines how cultural, familial, and religious understandings around sex, sexuality, and self can interrupt the life force connection to our sexual centers. Rooted in the wisdom of Tantra and neuroscience, this workshop will guide people on how to form a sacred relationship with their body, sexuality, and turn on, giving them the deep and sexy connection they've been yearning for. Combined with lecture, we will utilize sexual embodiment practices to demonstrate how to shed shame, guilt, fear, resistance, trauma and other blocks around our sexuality to fully awaken, reclaim, and embrace our sexual power and energy. When we are connected to our sexual selves, we are connected to ALL aspects of ourselves: heart, soul, body, mind, and spirit. This workshop will kick-off an 8 week class series on igniting our sexual awakening. All practices will be optional and practiced solo within a safe container, with consent and fully clothed.

BIO:
Rachel Halder is a Sacred Sexuality Coach, empowering people--stuck in sexual shame and shut down inherited by culture, family or religion--transform their numbness, pain or trauma into pleasure. Her passion is teaching people how to form a sacred relationship with their body, sexuality, and turn on, giving them the deep and sexy connection they've been yearning for, recognizing that embodying our sexual selves is a form of sacred activism. With an MA in Religion, Rachel's thesis titled "Undressing Purity Culture: Finding Sexual and Spiritual Healing through Neuroscience, Trauma Recovery, and Embodied Inter-Spirituality" focused on holistic healing for those marginalized or spiritually traumatized by the Christian Church through LGBTQ+ identification and/or sexual suppression or abuse. Rachel is a student of Layla Martin’s 600-hour Integrated Sex, Love and Relationship coaching program at the Tantric Institute for Integrated Sexuality, incorporating Tantric philosophy mixed with modern neuroscience into her studies, programs, coaching, workshops, and retreats. The Secret Gong Orchestra brings 100 gongs to Taos @the HFL

The Land of Enchantment is about to be Energized with the Gong collections of Al Faaet, Kenneth Goff, Mitch Nur, and Jeff Sussmann. Bringing together over 150 years of musical experience, and an impressive collection of Gongs from all over the world, this performance will open the dimensions of Gong play far beyond your usual 'gong bath' or similar presentation. Don't confuse this with the expected display of crashing and bashing you see today; but the formal presentation of ambient textures and nuances carefully expressed through an inter-dimensional tonal soundscape.

This unique performance is bringing together Gong artist's from both the East and West Coasts, merging with Santa Fe's more prolific live musicians. This is a layout event, so bring something comfortable to lay on, blanket or pillow as necessary, we will have mats out as well.

An Evening of Cultivating Kindness with Tara Basu

Becoming our best selves takes practice.  Our good intentions to change for the better are often forgotten in the shuffle of daily activities and lost among ingrained patterns.  If we truly want to grow, we must take time to focus on what we would like to cultivate and see grow within ourselves.

Being kind is one of the simplest and most effective ways to dramatically transform yourself and impact those around you in a positive way.  It is a universal concept and fundamental to all spiritual work.  This interactive workshop is an opportunity to reflect on the theme of kindness, become aware of how you apply it, and to learn new tools to improve your skills.  The program will include lecture, discussion, group activities, and group meditations.
