Astrology Open House

Astrologer Johnny Barnett welcomes you to an open house! Anyone is able to come by to ask questions, have Johnny look at their chart, have an open, group discussion about anything astrological/chakras, etc. No appointment is needed. Stop in and take advantage of this amazing opportunity to get to know Johnny before his class, "Chakras, Mythology, and Astrological Symbolism", on Sunday, Sept. 12!

Bio:
Johnny has been a practicing Astrologer for over 29 years. His unique astrological perspective is based upon the relationship between the 7 planets of classical astrology and the 7 Chakras–thus Chakraology – an embracing of the Hermetic wisdom “as without, so within”. He draws upon his complementary studies in symbolism, mythology, Jungian psychology, physics and the works of contemporary and recent thinkers such as Eckhart Tolle and Joseph Campbell, as well as his experiences as a father, husband, entrepreneur, community activist and musician to inform his work. Johnny currently travels the US  presenting his talk, teaching Chakraology classes, and doing private astrological readings, and has recently (May 2018) published his first book– ”Chakras, Mythology and Astrological Symbolism” based upon his two-hour talk.

Community Grief Ritual

Community Grief Ritual

Sunday, August 29, 2021 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Cost: $20.00

Grief. Beautiful, messy, painful grief.

We all have the capacity and wisdom to unearth the fullness of our grief. However, there is very little

space within our society and sometimes within ourselves, to truly and genuinely grieve. So often, we

grieve alone, which has its time and place. And, there are times we are meant to grieve together, with

family, in community. Held with each other, by each other.

In this ritual, we will be utilizing tools such as embodiment, sound, and elemental wisdom to ground in a

collective field of safety and permission for each one of us to unearth in. Here, we set aside the protection

of our identities and come as we are; in the fullness of our humanness and share the gifts of our

acknowledgment, empathy and compassion. Please, gift yourself and all of us the beauty of your

vulnerable loving heart and join us in this ancient ritual.

Love, and soul purpose in all beings. She is an amazing cook, massage therapist, postpartum doula,

transformation catalyst, gardener, and human. She is committed to being fully here on Earth, anchoring

the magnitude of soul in body through emotional wisdom, shadow alchemy, and embodied practices.

Her relationship with grief starting at a very young age and unknowingly, became very intimate. She did

not know how to grieve, it happened through her. In its own way, in its own time. As her evolution

continues, she falls deeper in love with the Truth of the Heart, and has come to know this vulnerable,

highly intelligent energy space as one of the realest parts of self. She feels deeply passionate about

embodying and sharing this innate wisdom by helping create a space where all of one is welcome to be

heard, seen, held, and unconditionally loved. She has seen and lived the beauty of sharing grief together

as one human family and is committed to co-creating it with all who want to dance home in this way.

Message from Margarita:

Life has a way of picking us up and leading us down roads that we could never have imagine traveling. I've spent my life meandering down many of these unimaginged roads. Plagued by a cancer that seemed to follow me through my adult life I was finally placed in a postition to meet this illness head on - the battle for my life.

That's when Gongs came to me.

I still, to this day,  remember that very first sound of the Gong and how it made me feel.  I just knew that that  the strange haunting sound was going to fight the tumor that was growing inside me.

That was more then 6 years ago.

The Gongs, were not finished with me after my own illness.

Shortly after my recovery, my father fell ill and I found myself reaching towards the gongs for that same comfort and healing, but unfortunately,  the woman who held these gong meditations was not around any more.  Sadden by this, I kept hearing a voice inside me to get my own gongs.  I could barely afford my rent, how could I ever afford to get a gong.

It was shortly after my father's passing that my brother told me I had just a little inheritance coming my way.  I took that money and bought my gongs.

Having never played the gongs  I was at a loss as to what to do.  It came to me one morning to approach the gong in prayer and ask them  to teach me how to play them.

Like magic, I found myself following  sounds that just "took me" and I let them. I have been told by people who have listened to me play that the Gongs, they play me.  I like that.

Yes, the Gongs, they really do play me.

For the last couple of years I have taken to the road with my Gongs. I have been fortunate to play in some incredible places from Santa Fe, NM to the Western Slope of Colorado including Crested Butte, Hodgekiss, Montrose and Boulder as well as Mount Shasta, California and my very favorite place to play, my hometown of Taos, NM.

I look forward to continuing down this road I am on with my Gongs.

It's a good road!

About the instructor:

Vera “Ariana” Le Doux

Hello and welcome to my Bio. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am passionate about Guided Meditations and Adventures in Consciousness as a tool to experience the world of unseen and undefined. Once we let go of the identity, the old self, we anchor our Divinity, the True Self, that which is Limitless, Fearless and Free.

My spiritual journey began about 15 years ago, when I suddenly became very ill. To understand the experience I was going through, I joined a local meditation group. Eventually I was asked to be the co-ordinator and to lead guided meditations and energy exercises. Til this day we meet regularly at the High Frequency Loft. We work under the guidance of the Arcturians and the Ascended Masters. The focus of our energy work is on personal & planetary healing and first of all on the unified energy field of our community and on co-creation of a new reality based on Love, Joy, Truth, Freedom, Grace & Gratitude. After a few years of being a guide and relying solely on my intuition, I signed up for a course in automatic writing and channeling. I had no idea that this was the place I would meet myself, expand into source consciousness, develop my very own authentic voice, and have the courage to be who I truly am - a Creator of my

reality.

To lean about the healing modalities I am offering, visit my website:

In Love and Light. Blessings to all of you.

Qigong

Qigong

Saturday April 24th, 12pm MST

The Chinese believe that disease is mainly caused by energy stagnation or blockages in the body. A full Qigong class will normally consist of various Warm ups, Cleansing (clearing stagnant or toxic energy), Recharge, Circulation(sending chi where its needed), and Dispersing ( to ensure no stagnant areas remain in the body). The students will learn how to move chi throughout the body, from areas of excess to areas where its depleted, and allowing areas where it may have become stagnant to flow again. The natural balance of energy that results will improve physical vitality and calm the mind. In this empowering self-care class experientially learn to clear your energy field, improve oxygen absorption, increase clarity and centeredness, as well as regulate & build your Qi (life force energy, pronounced “chee”) and balanced boundaries through Qi Gong, Meditation and Breath work.

The ageless and timeless transmissions from my Dear Mother, who  imprinted & seeded this thought, among the lush garden of thoughts  over my formative years, was, with this “observation” live and thrive  in every moment of your life….”does the Sun ask of the Earth what  are you giving me in return!”

Today and evermore going forward, we have in some form or the  other begun to explore the supreme power of “looking inward.” We  get a glimpse of a vast “field” and sense a presence of unbounded  stillness, that is beyond words……..however, the nature of mind seeks  to vocalize this vast emptiness and the power of presence slips way.

Our true teachers starting from nature, honed into living in the  presence of stillness while all action is performed. Insights and  practices that have guided generations across millennia shall be  transmitted as in “Gurukuls” (Centers where knowledge and wisdom  are the foundations of imprinting…….we term this as the principle of  the “golden quadrilateral”)

Rebirth to Unity in Every Breath.

We all have something we would like to change about our body. Whether an area of discomfort or a part of the body we wish looked different. What information is your body giving you through these sensations? Use simple materials of your choosing (pen, pencil, paper, markers) to connect with your body and see what it has to say. Art taps into the unknown and pours it into tangible form. No art experience necessary.

Celebrating Mother Earth through Storytelling with Silke Rose West

Friday April 23rd, 10-11amMST, Free Event Donations Appreciated <3

Celebrating Mother Earth through Storytelling

By the author of How to Tell Stories to Children, this workshop combines the science of storytelling with a step-by-step method for parents, grandparents, educators, and anyone interested in a relationship with children.

Storytelling is as old as cave paintings and as modern as blockbuster movies. What we now know from evolutionary theorists, neurologists, psychologists, and academics is that storytelling is not just for fun. It is a cognitive tool humans evolved to share information, retain attention, and build trust.

When viewed from this lens, storytelling becomes about the relationship between speaker and listener, parent and child. This workshop is not a collection of stories. It is a method designed to empower you to tell your own.

“Readers will walk away from the book feeling empowered and capable.”

Kirkus Reviews

“This book will help to promote storytelling as a key education tool."

- Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute & UN Messenger of Peace

“The best stories are told by the ones who know us deeply. And if you lack confidence, then here is loads of help.”

- Steve Biddulph, New York Times Bestselling Author of The Secrets of Happy Children, Raising Boys, and Raising Girls

"This isn't really a book about technique. It peels away technical concerns and takes you to the glowing heart of the matter: telling stories to children is a thoroughly natural thing for any adult to do."

- Joe Hayes, New Mexico Storyteller and Author of A Heart Full of Turquoise

"I wish I'd read this book before my children grew up. Its simple insights and practices will make me a better storyteller."

- Charles Eisenstein, Author of Sacred Economics and The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible

Silke Rose West is a Waldorf teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. In 1995, she co-founded the Taos Waldorf School and now runs an independent forest kindergarten.
