An Evening of Cultivating Kindness with Tara Basu

Becoming our best selves takes practice.  Our good intentions to change for the better are often forgotten in the shuffle of daily activities and lost among ingrained patterns.  If we truly want to grow, we must take time to focus on what we would like to cultivate and see grow within ourselves.

Being kind is one of the simplest and most effective ways to dramatically transform yourself and impact those around you in a positive way.  It is a universal concept and fundamental to all spiritual work.  This interactive workshop is an opportunity to reflect on the theme of kindness, become aware of how you apply it, and to learn new tools to improve your skills.  The program will include lecture, discussion, group activities, and group meditations.

Spiritual Awakening & Rebirth - Lecture with Tara Basu

Friday, June 2 from 7-9 pm

As we go through life, we are constantly shedding and revising our old identities so we can embrace a newer, wiser, more complete version of ourselves.  The idea of being born again is a concept intrinsic to the human experience, and has special significance and power when we decided to embrace spirituality on a new level.  We will talk about the nature of this metamorphosis, how the transformation manifests, and how it applies to our daily lives.  This class includes a lecture and facilitated group meditations.  Time will be given for discussion as well opportunities to share personal experiences.

There will be an emphasis on Eastern thought with a focus on the universality of different paths.  Open to all.  $15 sliding fee scale

Becoming an Artisan of Inspiration Meditation with Joseph McClenton

Being an inspiration stirs mystery within us. It triggers both our love and our passion. And being inspired gives us pause to reassess our priorities and to jump-start our momentum. Inspiration can be a magic potent in the living and loving of life. During a delightful afternoon of magic, Joseph will help us uncover the steps that we can take, one by one, to become an inspiration to ourselves and then to others. The afternoon will conclude with a powerful meditation of becoming a Beacon of Light and a Beacon of Hope and then traveling into hot spots in the world to bring light and hope into the darkness. It will be powerful, poignant, touching, and magical experience.
