Integrated Thai Yoga Massage Training:

Discover the art of The Compassionate Touch in this immersive two-day workshop with seasoned practitioner and instructor Darrell Hicks, a direct student of Kam Thye Chow—founder of the Lotus Palm School and author of Thai Yoga Massage and Advanced Thai Yoga Massage.

Rooted in the sacred traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Thai Sen (energy) lines, Thai Yoga Massage originated as a temple therapy created by Ayurvedic doctor Jivaka Komarpaj for the Buddha and his Sangha, later carried to Thailand by monks and nuns. Darrell carries this lineage forward, uniquely blending traditional Thai Yoga Massage with modern neuromuscular therapy and Western anatomy to create sessions that are both deeply therapeutic and energetically balancing.

In this hands-on two-day training, participants will:

● Learn a complete, professional one-hour Thai Yoga Massage sequence

● Explore safe and effective techniques through body mechanics, breath coordination, and precise touch

● Discover ancient temple healing techniques adapted for today’s practitioners

This workshop is designed for massage therapists, yoga instructors, yoga students, and bodywork enthusiasts seeking to expand their skills and connect with an ancient healing tradition. Whether you are new to Thai Yoga Massage or looking to enrich your practice, this training will empower you to share a truly transformative experience with others.

Each 8-hour day of the workshop includes a 1-hour lunch break and 7 hours of hands-on training. This workshop is from 9:30am - 5:30pm on Friday October 24th and from 8am - 4pm on Saturday October 25th.

Training manuals are included.

Darrell Hicks – Integrated Thai Yoga Massage Instructor

Darrell Hicks is a seasoned practitioner and teacher whose work bridges Eastern healing traditions with Western therapeutic precision. With over 20 years as a dedicated yogi, more than two decades as a bodyworker, and 15 years as a psychosocial-spiritual counselor, he brings a uniquely embodied, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to both his private practice and his workshops.

Trained and certified directly by Kam Thye Chow, founder of the Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage in Montreal, Darrell carries forward this lineage while enriching it with his extensive background in Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish massage, Breema bodywork, breathwork, and sound healing. His integration of Neuromuscular Therapy—originally developed as a non-surgical approach to resolving chronic and acute pain—sets his practice apart, offering participants both the flowing, meditative qualities of Thai Yoga Massage and the targeted precision of clinical muscle release.

In his two-day Integrated Thai Yoga Massage Workshops, Darrell guides yoga practitioners, yoga teachers, massage therapists, and bodywork enthusiasts through a complete 60-minute massage sequence. His trainings emphasize safe and effective body mechanics, mindful breath coordination, and the therapeutic use of sacred sound—equipping students to deliver treatments that are both deeply restorative and results-driven.

A former state-certified CEU provider in Texas, Darrell has taught continuing education courses to massage therapists and now travels full-time sharing his integrative approach. Whether working with seasoned professionals or complete beginners, he creates a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where students leave confident, skilled, and inspired. Darrell’s mission is to empower others to heal on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels—transforming Thai Yoga Massage into not just a technique, but a path of compassionate service and embodied wisdom.
